My First Blog Reader Contest
First things first, just got the mail and Kerry Ann's report card was there. She doesn't know this yet (as she is still in school) but she got straight A's and is on the "Highest" honor roll (there's honors, high honors and then there is the highest honor roll).
Here is the card I created for my February Monthly Swap. For a change, I am ahead of the game since February will be a busy month. It's hard to tell from the picture but the top layer (with Hello) actually is the part of the card that opens so you can write a very short note to someone. Anyway, here's the contest.....make a comment on this post by midnight on February 3rd and you will go into a drawing for a set of three cards with coordinating envelopes.
Here is a picture of what you will win.
I will announce the winner on Sunday morning (along with pictures from the Sweetheart Ball).
Making a comment is easy and you don't need a blogger or google account. Just type your comment and then three options appear at the bottom, select OTHER and add your name (just add first) and that's it!

Kerry Ann As Antigone!
What a great performance by Kerry Ann! She played Antigone in the FineLine Theatre Arts Schools performance of "It's All Greek To Me". All the performers were great and Kerry Ann and her friend Paige's performance as sisters, Antigone and Ismene, was very moving.
After the show we had a girl scout dinner, spa night and sleepover. The five girls in the troop made dinner (all by themselves). They made chicken enchilladas, spanish rice and salad. For dessert the girls had banana splits.
Spa night was a blast and the girls loved all the pampering. They didn't get much sleep at the "sleepover" though. Kerry Ann got home today at 1:00 and went to take a "nap" at 1:30 and is still sleeping at 5:00. I am wondering if she will get up for dinner.
All in all, a great weekend. Next weekend is the Sweetheart Ball so we are looking forward to another fun weekend.
By the way, thanks to everyone who commented on my blog (especially my mom who said she loves it!)

Paper, Ink and Ribbon....
Did I say Ribbon? I have tons of it from a Ribbon Share I participated in recently. Lots of colors for lots of cards! Can't wait for the Prima Flower share to come in.
Here is a card I created for the monthly swap I host. Ten women from around the country create a new card each month and send ten copies of the card to me. I, in turn, swap back to them ten different cards. This card isn't some of my best work but as many of you know, January a crazy month at work and I really didn't have time to put a lot of thought into this months card. I used a stamp set that Stampin Up sent as a gift to demonstrators in December. It's called Polka Dots & Paisley's. The best part of this post is that I figured out how to add a photo! Now on to the rest of my Saturday. Kerry Ann is in a play today. A Greek Tragedy entitled "It's All Greek to Me". I can't wait to see the show and will add updates on our little actress.
Here Come The Chick-Lits!
Our 2007 Book List is posted here. Check here for updates. Book Club meets the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.

Book: Girl with A Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier
One down and ten to go! Another fun night at book club. Wendy was our hostess with the mostess. Fourteen ladies huddled together sampling a variety of tasty treats, discussing our book and passing around fortunes (you had to be there) which had us laughing in our pearls! I do think everyone wore pearls...another successful theme! Can't wait till next month.
The book was rated an average of 3 (1-4 rating system).
I was able to get bookplates from the author for anyone who had the book. If you didn’t make it to book club or didn’t get a bookplate and want one, let me know.
We had a new member join us this month…welcome Jana!
