You can check out Kim's blog here.
Kim, please email me your home address and I will get your prize in the mail this week.
Thank you to everyone for reading my blog and leaving a comment. Thanks to you all, I have some great ideas for color combinations (that's always a challenge for me). Thanks!
Have a great weekend! I am having a little guest this weekend, my niece Caoilinn. We will be celebrating our small towns Tricentennial this weekend with lots of events including music on the green, a carnival, the worlds biggest cake (which we will help build), fireworks and ending with a huge parade (over 70 floats). Should be fun!

A Few Cards!
Catching up on swaps....I've been busy. I finished my monthly swap card, the designer paper swap card and the no layer swap card. I have to say the no-layer card was so very hard. I tried probably 20 different designs and couldn't get anything to come out good enough to send in for the swap. I started to look through the SCS gallery for inspiration and found a card using one of my favorite stamp sets. I ended up casing Kbookers3 card. I loved the card (sent her a pm to tell her) and ended up making a no layer card and a card set for my coordinator DSS swap using her design. This is Krystine's card
This is the card for the no layer swap:
This is the card set I made for my coordinator secret sister swap (I hope she likes it)! It's a card holder with three cards and three coodinating envelops. It was easy to make and I do like the way it came out.
REMEMBER! Only one more day to leave a comment for Blog Candy. I will announce the winner in the morning.
Have a nice weekend! I am babysitting my niece Caoilinn!

Blog Candy!
It's been a while since I posted some blog candy. This is for a card storage / organizer for all of your stampers or a photo organizer for scrapbookers (or anyone else).
This item is a companion piece to the ribbon organizer offered several months ago.
How do you enter? Just leave a comment and tell me your favorite color combo. Mine is green/pink. I will keep this open until Saturday the 30th. If you have left a comment by 9:00 a.m. eastern on the 30th, you can win. I will use a random number generator to pick a winner.
Kerry leaves for two weeks of camp today....I miss her already. Last night, Meghan, Jack, Kerry and I went out for a fun night of bowling. I was the high scorer of the night (I guess joining the league has improved my recent return to bowling).
Off to pack the car with camp gear. Have a nice Sunday everyone!

Stamping Away....
I received the cutest card from my Secret Sis on SCS yesterday and last night I stamped away (casing her great card) for two swaps. I usually make something a little different when I case and in on these cards I used my scallop circle punch but used the layout of my DSS's card.
One card is for my monthly swap and one card is for a designer paper swap I joined. I actually had a different card for my monthly swap but decided to use this one as I was swapping out. I'll use my original June card for July (hey, I'm ahead for next month!)
Here is my Designer Paper Card Swap Card
I am going to have a blog candy contest. Check back tomorrow for a look at the prize. It coordinates with the Ribbon Holder previously won.
What have I been up to? Still bowling and having a lot of fun. We have a fun team and while we are not competitive in the league (since all four of haven't bowled in many years). Having said that we are about in the middle of the ranking for the teams (this amuses us each week when we go up).

Back again...
It's been a while. BUSY BUSY BUSY! No time to stamp. The American In Paris Production was wonderful! It was a pleasure to watch. I am hoping to get a copy of a video of the production.
I am a coordinator on SCS for DSS and have been having contests each month for my team. Here is the prize I put together for the lucky winners for the June contest (going in the mail tomorrow). It's a sampler of paper (pallette o paper - new from SU) and assorted ribbons and prima's. I think they look nice! Congrats to the five lucky winners!
I'll post my June swap card tomorrow.

Opening Night....
Today is the big day.....the day Kerry has been working so hard for the past three months. Opening night of American in Paris! I sat through some of the dress/tech rehersal last night and was interesting to see the show all come together. Kerry is in a tap number and has several parts in the American in Paris portion of the show, including one of the can-can girls. The director/choreographer, Scott Wise is amazing. We are very fortunate to have had a great teacher like Scott open his school in our small town.
I am looking forward to seeing the show and will share some photo's tomorrow.

It's that time of the year!
Hello everyone! It's been a rollercoaster of a month. I haven't had much stamping time (the one card I made is at the bottom of this post) but I have been very busy. Besides a new job (started 6/1) I have been busy with end of year activities with Kerry AND I joined a bowling team for the summer. First let me tell you about bowling. I bowled from the time I was a little girl and stopped due to arthritis about 12 years ago. I really missed it but I was always in pain so I gave my bowling ball, bag and shoes to Good Will and accepted that I would probably not bowl again. Fast forward to March 23rd, Kerry's B-day. She wanted to go bowling with friends and I took her. The girls encouraged me to try a game. I not only felt good bowling (no pain) but I bowled a 176. I looked into summer leagues since they are shorter to see if I could start bowling again. I found a short 10 week league that only bowled 2 games a night. Now to find bowlers.....I mentioned it after woman's club one night and immediately had my team! We started the following Monday. Carol, Patty, Suzanne and I are having a blast every Monday night bowling. It is a lot of fun and I am so glad I joined. Oh, and I bought a new bowling ball....guess what color????
Now on to Kerry Ann's activities. Being in 8th grade, it is a promotion year. This is the last year before high school. Some of the fun activities include an 8th grade dance, an 8th grade trip to Holiday Hill and a promotion ceremony. The hardest thing was to find a dress and shoes for the dance. We found a pretty turquoise dress and silver shoes. Kerry looked beautiful and had a wonderful time. The very next day she performed in her acting classes end of year production of The Emperors' New Clothes. She played one of the Swindlers and was fabulous! This weekend she is in the Production of American in Paris and has had many long hours of rehersals. The show will be this Saturday and Sunday. I can't wait to see it. Holiday Hill is Monday and promotion in next Friday. Kerry can then rest for one week before she heads out to camp Mohawk for two weeks!
Here are some photo's of the dance and the production she was in last weekend.

OK, I did make one card. I actually have to get working because I have four swaps in June to complete. One is for a "no-layer" card. I don't know why I signed up for this one. I just know I will struggle. Here is my practice no-layer card. I pulled out my SU light table and Shapes Brass Template and embossed a square after I stamped the purse. I added some Crystal Effects around the handle of the purse and a pretty sheer pink and black polka dot ribbon. It still looked to plain so I tore the edge of the paper and inked the edge in pink passion. Still looked plain so I added a strip of black paper to the inside of the card....so much for no layers! Well, back to the drawing board.
Have a great weekend!
